When each quoted rule was last read

A reference site is only as good as the date on it. This page carries both the dates and the places where the source material disagrees with itself.

Dates are when a page was last read, not when it was last correct. Follow any link to check the live wording. About

Changelog

What changed here, and what was read to make it

Short, and it will stay short. This is a reference site about somebody else published rules, so the only honest changelog is one that records when those rules were last checked and what was found.

  • This site published

Twelve pages, twenty five screenshots taken from the PonyBuy help centre, and eight source articles read in full rather than skimmed. Every rule quoted here carries a link to the page it came from and the date it was read.

The editorial line was set at the start and has not moved: quote what PonyBuy publishes, describe what the screenshots show, and say plainly where the published material runs out. No prices are converted into another currency, no delivery times are promised, and no batch is endorsed.

  • Three places where the help centre disagrees with itself

Recorded here rather than resolved, because resolving them is not this site to do.

    • The return service fee. One page gives a flat fee; another gives a four band tiered table and carries a stated effective date. Both are live.
    • The price of a detailed photo. The body text of one page and the ordering dialog on the same page show different figures. This site quotes neither as current and points readers at the dialog.
    • The five day guarantee definition. Published twice, word for word identical, on two pages whose service fee rules differ.

Where a contradiction touches money, this site declines to pick a winner and says so at the point of use.

  • PonyBuy tiered return and exchange fee takes effect

Not a change to this site, but the only dated event in the source material, and the reason the fee table on the returns page is treated here as the later of the two published rules.

The date is PonyBuy own, printed with the table. It is recorded here so that a reader who finds the older flat fee page can tell which one came first.

The hub everything on this site was read out of

The figure is the agent tab of the PonyBuy help centre, which is where all eight source articles live. It is worth a look even if you never read another word here, because the titles alone tell you which parts of the process have rules attached and which do not.

Disclaimers, defective products, special standards, forwarding and inspection rules, promised returns, order statuses and the service charge answer. That is the entire published surface an ordinary buyer can hold PonyBuy to, and it is perhaps twenty minutes of reading.

This site exists because twenty minutes of reading is twenty minutes more than anybody does before an order, and because the parts that matter most to a reps buyer are scattered across pages that never mention each other.

Every source page, and when it was last read

Eight articles carry the quotations on this site. If one of them has changed since the date below, the page here that quotes it is out of date, and the link is the fastest way to find out.

Screenshots on this site were taken on the same date. Where a screenshot and the live page now differ, the live page is right and this one is stale.

Three questions about how this site is kept

Maintenance is not interesting, but it is the difference between a reference and a snapshot of one afternoon.

How often is this site checked against the help centre?

Whenever a rule quoted here changes on the PonyBuy side, and otherwise on a review of the whole source list. The date each page was last read is in the table above.

What happens when PonyBuy changes a rule?

The quotation and the date change together. Where the new wording contradicts the old, both get recorded rather than the old one quietly disappearing.

Why record the places where PonyBuy contradicts itself?

Because a reader who finds the other page deserves to know it exists. Picking one and staying silent about the other would make this site look more certain than the source material is.
